Capable of operations in coastal waters with advanced anti-air capability and antisurface and antisubmarine capabilities. In addition, the ship offers anti-ship missile protection for high value units and long distance protection for a task force. Can operate as a flag ship for national or allied task forces as well as interoperable with allied forces.
F-310 — 5 Ship Award, First of Class Delivery 2005
The primary mission is anti-submarine warfare (ASW) with integrative active and passive capability. Contains a robust self-defense superiority to enable successful execution of the ship's primary mission in order to neutralize surface targets at long ranges. Can also operate medium size helicopters. the F-310 has flexibilities and possibilities for expansion for world wide operations and complies with NATO requirements.
The Frigate's most important task is coastal defense and sea control, to maintain the Sea Lines of Communication (SLOC) and ensure safe transportation of reinforcements and re-supplies along the long coastline of Norway in all weather conditions.

New AFCON Corvette Class Ship with Aegis-Based Weapon System
The AFCON Corvette is an affordable, high-performance surface combatant solution tailored to meet the littoral needs of navies around the world. The AFCON Corvette has been designed with advanced features in mind, including a SPY-1K phased array radar, a hull mounted sonar system, a 76 mm Gun, a four-cell MK 41 Vertical Launching System (VLS) and an Aegis-based Combat System. The AFCON Corvette design addresses the following Warfare Areas:
AAW- Anti-Air Warfare
ASW- Anti-Submarine Warfare
ASuW-Anti-Surface Warfare
